Ziggy and his friend don't get it.

They are splitting hairs trying to fight Lee while unconcerned that the school board and top level school officials rob the taxpayers blind.

Why doesn't Ziggy and his friend comment on that? Instead they are lusting after a fight with Lee for whatever reason.

I suspect Iggy is a drop-out, and so is his sidekick. Every time I see his name on a post, I hear the echo of one of my daughters saying, "Mom, can you keep the children today?" With every post Iggy regresses. I will have to lay in a supply of Pampers. lee

I, too, have noticed that you only criticize the grammar MISPLACED MODIFIER: "ONLY" GOES HERE." of those who oppose you. Why do your supporters get a free pass?

And why haven't you allowed my comment concerning your degree APOSTROPHE FOR POSSESSIVE BEFORE THE GERUND being obsolete if everybody knew everything there was to know about English? Is it because you know I'm right COMMA you can't think of a counterargument?

Well, in case there was WERE (subjunctive) a technical mishap, here it is again:

"Your thinking seems to run to details. Mine's on the big picture."

Ha. Ha ha ha. Ha ha ha ha ha. COMIC-BOOK STYLE Sorry, but I couldn't help laughing when you accused ME COMIC-BOOK CAP focusing on details. That was the most hypocritical remark I have ever heard in my life. Seriously.

Yeah, criticizing every little quotation placement, sentence fragment, and capitalization error is really focusing on the big picture... What is this ellipsis for?

Let me ask you this: You seem to maintain some sort of superiority over others just because you know all the rules of the English language. And your degree is in English, is it not? So if everyone had the knowledge of English that you have, then wouldn't your degree be obsolete? Would you have had a job at HCC if every college student was a master of rhetoric? In other words, if advanced English rules were supposed to be common knowledge, then what would be the purpose of your degree? ENGLISH DEGREES WILL NEVER BE OBSOLETE WITH ALL THE GALLOPING ILLITERACY PEOPLE SUFFER. WHEN STUDENTS CAME INTO MY FRESHMAN ENGLISH CLASSES, THEY SEEMED SO BRIGHT. THEN THEY WROTE THEIR FIRST ESSAY. NOT ONLY COULD THEY NOT PUNCTUATE; THEY AS WELL COULD NOT WRITE A COHERENT PARAGRAPH. THE WORLD OF SUCH IGNORANCE WILL NEVER RUN OUT OF THE NEED FOR ENGLISH TEACHERS.

Ziggy, you argue for the sake of keeping the attention on you. A mother of four and a granny of ten can tell you that little kids cut up all the time to get attention.

You need to start a blog of your own. You are monopolizing my blog. It’s not the nagging you do;it’s the space you take up with no point. you nag for the sake of keeping the attention on you.

Learn this bit of logic, dear boy: You nor anyone will ever tell me whose grammar to correct. That is strictly the kid here's choice. lee

I “lust after a fight” because I point out inaccuracies whenever I see them. Lee takes care of grammar, and I take care of everything else (i.e. the stuff that actually matters).

You need to reevaluate your criticims of the school district. Hillsborough County School District is the 8th largest school district in the nation, so it’s only natural that it takes a lot of money to run it. Do you know that HCPS is one the few school districts that have had no layoffs or school closures because of the faltering economy? If they are “robbing the taxpayers blind,” as you claim, then how do they have enough money to prevent layoffs and stop schools closings, while teacher salaries are actually being increased! Most other districts have frozen teacher salaries. All the while, they are rated an “A” district! These events are unprecedented! You should be applauding the district!

Lee, you claim I focus on the details, but it is you who does such a thing. You focus on little things such as Elia supposedly cursing in her office. First off, you have no evidence that that is true. And even if it is true, so what? Is her supposed cursing affecting, as you say, the “big picture”? Does it affect student achievement or the district’s grade? No. So why bother with it? And even if she does curse, I believe she has the right to per the First Amendment of the United States Constitution.
