Never Hesitate to Repeat the Question

Minions of the Light:

This message below comes from Steve Kemp, the teacher whom the special-ed administration framed on a child-abuse charge, which the sheriff threw out the day Mr. Smiley filed it. But the Professional Standards gulag plodded on to try to find a speck of evidence on which to fire Steve, although its sadists did not follow up on the Toe Cracker foot fetishist administrator at King High.

Steve spent a year on suspension in the period to pressure him to drop his blog, and Ms. Elia added another five days of Steve's working with no pay for it in addition to moving him to another school when the administration and board grudgingly gave way to the bad publicity Steve's case was garnering them.

Tom Gonzalez played his usual role of legal toady to cover up the pathology of the board and administration in their goal of keeping teachers cowed and quiet by using the Professional Standards office as a method of shutting teachers up by threatening their jobs if they don't keep quiet.

Battered, but not bowed, Steve continues to do good in the world. He is still teaching. His blog is still online (the reason he was framed in Professional Standards is that the Board and administration abhor blogs because they may funnel some of the truth out about how badly Elia and the board run the schools). He has moved to other subjects, but he's still standing.

Going through the Professional Standards sadistic fire drill, the usual end of which is that a trapped teacher is gutted and kicked to the curb, Steve has so far managed to stay on his feet and go on with his life.

Go to his blog and drop him a line of encouragement. Ask what you can do to help his campaign for computers in the classroom. lee

Lee,

You have gained quite a following with your campaign for government in the sunshine. I do not mean to distract you, but I have a favor to ask. I have begun a campaign to put a personal computer in the hands of every student in the United States.

The movement is in its infancy and there is a mountain of details to work out. I don't know what your opinion is on this matter; however, I would be grateful if you would mention it on your blog (pro or con) and help me draw attention to it.

I feel like a tiny point of light in vast political universe. Hardly anyone sees that point of light yet, but with time and lots of writing, I hope it will brighten and become visible to everyone.

Dear George:

A month has elapsed since I asked you for public information. The Attorney General says 48 hours to be a reasonable citizen expectation of turnaround.

You have not done me the courtesy of replying to my request or commenting on your refusal to review the child-abuse charge I lodged with your office for abuse of special-needs children by the Hillsborough County School Board.

I have asked for the governor's help in your recalcitrance in doing your job.

I will next ask the Attorney General's assistance.

A citizen should not have to experience such lassitude on a person's part whose salary citizens pay.

Please comply with the Public Records Law. If you don't know how, find out.

You should not hold a tax-paid job if you don't perform its duties.

Lee, George has a big article in the st pete times today entitled "dcf chief weathers a new storm". I read half expecting to find your name. LOL. Nay. Georgie is caring (almost singlehandedly) for the haitian orphans. Which probably comes as news for the Haitina orphans. I believe that george feels this is something you cannot with your piddling problem with our own child abuse issues in HC, trump.
So, whatever george. When you get done with the poor souls of haiti please see to our issue.
I'm sure poor haiti will never notice the difference.
And, he has handed you a sword, of course. Some of those Haitian orphans will probably end up in HC and become then abused again in the HC school system.
George doesn't think things through very well.
His publicist must be earl scheib.

Lee,

Thank you!

The school board here in Hillsborough certainly do treat the children and teachers as if they live in Haiti.
