I do not condone what the principal did, but as I said before, that incident happened in Manatee County, not Sarasota.

Ms. Brown, that principal Rios is an evil twit to try to trap a teacher so he could fire her after she had won her case in court before a judge. And the attorney is no sweetheart either. Wear your Manohlo Blahnicks to the next administrator conference and kick Mr. Rios in the shins.
Teachers and their students are the heart and soul of the schools. Primary teachers are the ones we never forget. Ms. Cropsey teaches third grade. My third-grade teacher was Ms. Byers. I thought she was as beautiful as a fairy and as wise as a wizard and still do. The primary teachers settle into our psyches as role models and remain blessed memories for life. lee
Lee, I did not say that Dr. Hamilton does not lobby for the Sarasota County Board. I said that I do not know of him. I have been on the board for 2-1/2 years. In that time we have always dealt with Mixon and Assoc. I do not know Dr. Hamilton. I do not know if he works for Mixon and Assoc. I have cc'd my response to our Superintendent and public information officer as I do not have the information you requested and they are the ones responsible for public informatin requests. Ms. Brown: regarding our emails about Dr. James Hamilton's acting lobbyist for Sarasota County: you said that he did not.
Yet a review of my files shows below that he lists Sarasota County on his Web site below as a client. The school clients listed he transferred to Mixon and Associates when he became its consultant. The Hamilton site lists the Sarasota School Board as a client on 1/06/09; then he apparently transferred this contract to Mixon and Associates.
Logic suggests that Dr. Hamilton cannot have had this lobbyist job for the county and the Mixon transfer without there being a record of it in your files.
I therefore renew my public information requests for
1. The ads and their venues that Sarasota County used (a) to hire the lobbyist and (b ) Mixon and Associates.
2. Copies of the applicants' submissions for these two positions in addition to those of Dr. Hamilton;
3. Copy of the board secretary's notes on these two hiring actions;
3. Copy of the board's equal-employment opportunity statement;
4. A list of the schools' Federal grants.
