Happy New Year; Get Ready to Rock and Roll the School Board and Administration in 2009. lee

Have a happy New Year. This picture is from last year. My husband and I spend New Year's at home because we are afraid to get out on the streets and get murdered.

This coming year is going to be our Blog Blast year. The administration and board have complained so much about how evil blogs are that we know that we are getting to them.

I am sending out a long new year's message about how rotten the board and administration are. I have assembled with help an email list that covers the Florida education community.

The other parts of the Florida education community need to learn how not to run a school system by our exposure of Hillsborough's rotten- from-the-top methods designed to impede the teachers and students and to make things easy for the administration and board.

Hip, hip, hooray. lee

Lee, do you realize that if a public school teacher were to post a picture like yours holding a glass of wine, we'd be run out of town on a rail and called bad role models. The same rules simply don't apply to us.

My god, you are right. We have our work cut out for us: to make teachers human beings. lee

Maybe you should put the Gates Foundation on your list.

I am thinking small. You are thinking big. I will put Bill and Melissa Gates on our list if I can find an email. I like the way they spend their billions to help the world, mostly education. See if you can find an email and send it to me. lee

Why not add Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy? Now there's a trifecta you don't want to mess with. I would wager you might even getter a better response from these three.

I am not smart enough to know what you mean, Grey Ghost. leeAnonymous has left a new comment on your post "Happy New Year; Get Ready to Rock and Roll the Sch...":

Maybe he/she means that the "powers that be" are about as nebulous as this "trifecta".

Maybe he/she means that, just as the acts of these fictitious characters are carried out by others, so are the strings of the puppets of education being pulled by someone else.

In any case, I applaud you for your efforts.

The Gates Foundation seems benevolent, but it is really greed driving it. If you can get kids to use Microsoft PCs and software you get them possibly hooked for the rest of their lives on using those products. Gates wants to create a monopoly and squash mac or other computer companies. It pretends to help others while simply trying to use another route to filling its pocket book.

Pepsi does a similar thing. It gives its products away at such low rates to the school district so that kids will grow up with Pepsi (even though it is an inferior product to Coke) and buy Pepsi products later on in life.

Don't trust anyone or anything. Money is the driving force behind EVERYTHING in this world unfortunately. People have found out how to use kids and taxpayer dollars to make a fortune. It is the Republican way. Screw everyone and make a fortune for yourself.
